Welcome to Northern Farm MTB, where adventure meets nature! Nestled in the heart of pristine grasslands, our trails offer a haven for mountain bikers, trail runners, and nature enthusiasts. Located just 10 minutes from Fourways, Johannesburg, Northern Farm combines accessibility with tranquility. With over 100 km of well-maintained paths, we’re dedicated to preserving the environment while providing a world-class outdoor experience. Whether you’re seeking a thrilling ride or a peaceful escape, we’re your gateway to outdoor adventure.

CYCLING AT NORTHERN FARM
Northern Farm plays host to over 110km of custom built trails for all levels of riders.
Take a meander along the district roads or test your skill out on one of the technical sections along the black route.

TRAIL RUNNING AT NORTHERN FARM
Northern Farm has 2 dedicated running routes, you will not find cyclists on the single trails along the orange routes.
The orange routes at Northern Farm are custom built for trail running / hiking. There are light obstacles along the way that cyclists cannot cross, this means the trails are all for running.

OPEN : WEEKENDS & ALL PUBLIC HOLIDAYS EXCEPT CHRISTMAS DAY
SINGLE ENTRY FEE : R70 PP
PENSIONER RATE : R60 PP (SUBJECT TO PROOF OF)
10 ACCESS MULTIPASS : R550 (can be used by multiple people until complete)
20 ACCESS MULTIPASS : R950 (can be used by multiple people until complete)
NO DOGS OR PETS PERMITTED AT NORTHERN FARM
NO HELMET NO RIDE
ALL RIDERS MUST PLACE USE NUMBER BOARDS ON BIKES TO AVOID A R350 FINE

Keep that machine in great condition while enjoying a coffee and breakfast from Dusty Dougs curbside coffee.

* Please note that we do not clean shoes & we kindly request that public stay out of the bike wash area.
SAFETY AT NORTHERN FARM
Your safety is our biggest priority. You deserve to ride where it is safe, where you know that your vehicle will still be there when you return and that you are okay to head out on your own. For this reason, Northern Farm has very strict access and exit procedures along with guards on all perimeters around the farm and in the parking lot. We still do not recommend leaving your bike on the back of your vehicle while having a coffee, but you are safe at Northern Farm.
HOLIDAY OPERATING TIMES
Northern Farm December 2025 – Opening Hours
Northern Farm will be open from Wednesday, 10 December 2025, to Sunday, 11 January 2026, Wednesday to Sunday each week. We will be closed on Christmas Day (25 December 2025), but open on all other public holidays, even if they fall on a Monday or Tuesday.
Clubhouse Hours: Weekdays (Wednesday to Friday) 07:00 – 16:00, Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) 06:00 – 16:30
